7 reasons parents are ditching the tablet habit for good

Sunday afternoon, pouring with rain, my son (6) and his little friend coloured in for three hours straight. Three hours! Not once did they ask for the tablet. Worth every penny just for that.

I ordered the animal version because my daughter is mad about ladybirds. The 24 markers are properly rich in colour, none of that washed-out pastel look. She did the lion in bright orange and she's so proud of it.

I was sceptical about the size, but 127 × 153 cm is spot on. Two kids can kneel side by side without elbowing each other out the way. Before this, every colouring session ended in a scrap.
